This Moxy property blatantly ignores the Marriott Bonvoy Platinum (and above) guaranteed 4pm late checkout benefit. This is not a vague perk or a “nice to have” courtesy. It is a clearly defined, guaranteed benefit of the Bonvoy program. Despite that, the hotel flatly refused to honor it. I ultimately had to call Marriott corporate just to get the property to acknowledge the issue. Even after corporate intervened, the manager called me and said they would extend checkout only to 2pm “as a courtesy.” That response perfectly captures the problem. A guaranteed elite benefit is not a favor the hotel can arbitrarily downgrade when it is inconvenient. If this property cannot or will not honor the obligations that come with operating under the Marriott brand, it should not be participating in the Bonvoy program in the first place. Ignoring clearly published program benefits while continuing to market to elite members is misleading at best and dishonest at worst. Service businesses run on trust, and this property demonstrated that it does not respect its guests, its brand standards, or the loyalty program it claims to participate in. Because of that, I will not be returning.

This hotel room is hilariously bad. I literally laughed when I walked in. I got a bunk room as it was the only room type left when I booked. It costs $275 a night, same as a queen room. I’ve stayed in hostels more comfortable than this. Where to start? The top bunk with a foot of clearance. The light next to the bottom bunk is broken so it’s just a dark corner. The giant TV that you can’t even watch as the view is blocked. The weird cigarette art. There is no duvet just a sheet and “blanket” that feels like a tablecloth. My takeout box doesn’t fit in this weird minuscule fridge. The staff have been nice though no complaints there. I wish I could get my money back and go to the holiday inn. I’m so cold. Avoid avoid avoid.
