This place charges luxury prices for a punishment-level stay. Welcome! Don’t worry — when you check in, you’ll be required to spend an extra $40 a night just to park your car. Your room will resemble a Stone Age jail cell, complete with unswept floors decorated with hair from previous guests. If you complain, they’ll gladly move you to another room that also hasn’t been dusted or swept. When it’s time to sleep, enjoy a bed that closely mimics sheet rock, paired with pillows that contain absolutely no fluff. Wake up refreshed with a stiff neck and sore back, questioning every life choice you’ve ever made. Missing a bed sheet? You’ll likely find it crumpled under the bed, resting peacefully among dirt, dust, and mystery debris. Do you like to store your clothes in a dresser? Nope. Please enjoy the three hooks provided, thoughtfully hanging straight out of the concrete walls, because drawers are apparently too luxurious. Enjoy the nightstand/desk hybrid, carefully designed to hold exactly one cellphone, one earbud, and one slim bottle of water — any additional items are simply too ambitious. Like coffee? Sorry. There’s no coffee pot or Keurig in the room. Please head down to the front lobby and spend $6 on a mid latte, because basic amenities are apparently an upsell. Toilet paper is thoughtfully limited to one roll per stay. The tar spots on the floor add character, and the TV that doesn’t shut off ensures you never experience silence. Feeling adventurous? Try the pool — it has no lights and closes at 6pm, so plan your fun accordingly… and in daylight only. Luxury pricing. Prison-cell vibes. Would not stay again.

If you are staying in downtown St. Pete and you are not staying at Moxy, respectfully… what are you even doing? Quick heads up before I tell you why I love this place so much: valet only. And yes, if you pull around back and see a ramp that says “For Valet Only - Strictly Enforced” and think, “How strictly? Maybe I’ll just pull up and it’ll magically open”… it will not. 😂 Learn from me and the car that was behind that tried the same exact thing! That being said, the valet team was AMAZING. I had heaps of luggage and zero organization, and they were so patient. I never felt rushed or stressed, which honestly set the tone for the entire stay. Inside, Tiffany at the front desk was an absolute gem. Warm, welcoming, kind… and possibly psychic. When my boyfriend came by to grab an extra key, she immediately knew exactly who he was like a Hollywood matchmaker. Still impressed and Still slightly unsettled in the best way. Then there’s Kejon, aka KJ, the front desk actual real-life angel. He thought there might be an issue with my balcony door, so he personally helped me with all my luggage and I escorted me to my room to ensure everything was working perfectly. That level of care (especially considering how busy they were with it being New Year’s Eve) is rare and honestly meant so much. Let’s talk food and drinks. Amazing libations. Delicious bites. Immaculate vibes. Sam took great care of us and delivered a solid 10 out of 10 experience. Every single time I come to Saint Pete, I will stay here. No debate. No second guessing. This place gets it right every time. Stylish, fun, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming. I’ll be back again and again. 💙✨
