The location is seriously... it says it all!! The first time I stayed at a hotel near Shinsaibashi, it was new, the breakfast was delicious, and everything was great, but it was too far. However, I booked it because I had plans to go to both Namba and Umeda. Since this trip is a self-guided tour of Kobe focused on Namba, I came here. The location says it all; what more can I say? In the evening, there are so many restaurants nearby that you don't have to worry about where to go. Everything is delicious, haha. However, the hotel definitely shows its age, and the facilities are a bit lacking. I used the lounge service... Since I have some experience in Osaka, it's nice to use it once in a while for a drink. Check-out is at 12 PM for floors 4-6. It's convenient to buy alcohol at the nearby Bic Camera. The nearby Kuromon Market is great for breakfast too!!

This hotel has always been my go-to place for me on my visits to Osaka, and I've always been satisfied with its location and service. So, I was excited to take my mother on this trip, so I booked again. However, this experience was extremely disappointing. 1. The information desk staff at check-in was extremely rude. They often didn't answer my questions or pretended not to hear, and communication was difficult. They didn't seem to be a purely Japanese staff member, and I was curious why there was a staff member at the front desk who didn't understand either English or Japanese. I ended up having to go through the check-in process twice. 2. I purchased a one-day breakfast pass at the front desk's direction, but the next day, they charged me a 30 yen difference and asked me to pay again. They explained that it was cheaper, but it didn't mean much to us, and it was a waste of time, which was inconvenient. 3. The most absurd part was the credit card issue. I booked from Korea, and even though the card registered on Booking.com was different, the hotel charged me an additional fee. While the amount wasn't significant, it was incredibly frustrating. I contacted the hotel, but didn't receive a response for a day. Finally, after raising the issue through Booking.com, I was told I was being charged for breakfast, even though I hadn't consumed it. Since we only used breakfast for one day, I had to send them all the details—the initial payment, the cancellation, the re-payment, and even the hotel's arbitrary charges—before the cancellation was finally processed. More importantly, there was no apology from the hotel during this process. I only received a belated apology after leaving a review on Booking.com. This was especially disappointing, as I had fond memories of this hotel. I won't be staying here again if I visit Osaka in the future.
