They proudly charge $6 for Starbucks coffee. Black drip coffee with no cream or sugar. For three black coffees, we paid $18. It wasn't even specialty grade coffee, it was commodity grade and it was a blend. This coffee wasn't worth $6 per cup. The coffee was 1) already over roasted and 2) over extracted in the brewer. For it being Starbucks coffee, we experienced a huge sticker shock that made me want to vomit. The coffee was worth no more than $1.50 per cup. The drinks at the market store in the lobby were $7/water, $5/Gatorade. Just to bring awareness to the pricing. Breakfast for two adults and three children was $105. There is no pool at this location. There is a misleading photo of a pool in the photos. We asked the staff upon checking in and they said they did not have a pool at this Marriott. My kids hated that. Wished that was listed before we booked. Valet charged us $89. The norm in this city is about $50. They did adjust this. The last disappointment was the stay. The positives; room was clean, sheets pressed. No hair on linens. Floors were clean. Negative; there was black mold in the vents. We only stayed one night and noticed this in the morning. We told the staff upon checking out and they did nothing to remediate to make us feel better about our stay. The room we stayed in was 434. They said they would have the maintenance manager check it out. For $211 it wasn't worth the stay. If you do stay, get coffee and food somewhere else where quality is taken a little more seriously.

Thank you to Nashville Vanderbilt Marriott team for a brief but wonderful stay. Daniel and Alex were particularly welcoming as we arrived. The lounge bartender was terrific as he hosted FCS fans from Illinois and Montana. I know they all were enjoying their visit. Rooms were clean and nicely presented. Thank you all!
