A very difficult stay: no welcome and insects. I strongly advise against arriving outside of reception hours, even if you notify them in advance and they confirm you can leave your luggage. The receptionist saw me and ignored me at 4:15 PM and came back without listening, arguing that they opened at 5:00 PM (in that case, why confirm luggage drop-off in advance? Even a simple "hello" is basic. The on-call phone wasn't being answered). When I finally managed to speak to someone, the tone was cold and unprofessional, as if I were bothering them. If you keep repeating that you work from 5:00 PM, don't be physically present at reception and ignore guests. I've never seen anything like it. I'm positive everywhere I go; this is discouraging. A guest in a room two doors down from mine reported the presence of swarming insects in the room. No alternative accommodation could be offered to her, as the on-call number was unavailable after midnight – and also on Sunday at 4:20 p.m., when I myself had tried to call without success. She reported the problem to the receptionist on Thursday morning. That same evening, I discussed the situation with another receptionist, who had not been informed of her colleague's report from that morning. She told me she would pass the information on to her manager, but seemed completely indifferent to the fact that the room could be given to another guest without any prior intervention. For my part, I wasn't overly alarmed, but I legitimately wondered how the hotel intended to react, fearing I would find the same situation when I returned to my room. Upon returning to the hotel on Thursday evening, I asked what was planned. The receptionist replied, word for word: "We'll see if other guests report it." “Yet, the client had shown videos of insects swarming in her room. I then asked, “So what are you going to do?” The answer was, “There’s nothing we can do.” However, it’s perfectly possible to apply a treatment (a suitable spray or a cleaning intervention), or failing that, to keep the room unavailable until action has been taken. MY COMMENT HAS ONLY ONE PURPOSE: to improve the situation for others.”
