We had 14 wonderful days at the Neptun Hotel on Kos in July. Our request for a quiet room was taken into account when we booked. The family room was ideal for us: divided into two rooms with a connecting door, so our child could sleep undisturbed. The view of the surrounding nature and the partial sea view perfectly complemented our stay. We are big fans of Greece and have vacationed in many hotels – but the Neptun Hotel is by far one of the best we have ever stayed in. It is perfect for families without being overly organized. There are quiet corners everywhere where you can find peace and quiet, while at the same time there is plenty of entertainment for children – the balance is simply ideal. We particularly appreciated the option of having a leisurely breakfast in our room for a small additional fee. The QR code service was also fantastic – we could conveniently order drinks and snacks from the sun lounger or from our room, which made our vacation even more relaxing. Our only criticism: The beds were unfortunately very uncomfortable, and my husband experienced severe back pain. Furthermore, the gap between the beds was bothersome, making it impossible for three people to sleep together. New beds are urgently needed. The rooms were very clean and were thoroughly cleaned daily. The entire resort is beautiful: many olive trees, spacious and well-maintained, allowing guests to spread out comfortably. The pools, especially the covered children's pool, were a highlight. Our son also loved the varied children's entertainment – particularly the face painting, the balloon animals, and the all-day "Neppiland" play area, where he could play, read, climb, and swing. Another big plus was the staff in the children's area. They were incredibly friendly to the children, had many creative ideas, and consistently managed to delight the little guests. Our son felt completely at ease there. It was just a shame that the play area wasn't lit in the evenings, making swinging in the dark impossible. The food in the main restaurant was varied and delicious, and the breakfast left nothing to be desired. A special thank you goes to Sofia from the service team, who was always friendly and welcoming and was very popular with our son. One minor drawback was the reception: greetings were rare, and simple questions, such as about a swing set or nearby horseback riding opportunities, couldn't be answered. More friendliness and willingness to provide information would be appreciated. Overall, however, we had a wonderful stay and can highly recommend the hotel, especially to families. Many thanks to the entire team – we will definitely be back!
