NEW HOTEL SAINT LAZARE

My recent stay at **New Hotel Saint Lazare** was an exceptionally pleasant experience, especially considering its category and price range. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was calm and welcoming. One of the most valuable aspects of this hotel is how remarkably quiet it is. Despite being located in a lively and well-connected area of Paris, the hotel provided a peaceful environment that allowed us to rest comfortably after long days of sightseeing. What truly distinguished this hotel, however, was the professionalism and kindness of the staff. Every team member we encountered was consistently friendly, polite, and genuinely helpful. They were attentive to our requests and always willing to assist with directions, recommendations, or any small needs we had during our stay. Their positive attitude significantly enhanced our overall experience. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and offered good variety and quality. Considering the reasonable pricing, the value for money was excellent. It was a satisfying way to start each day before exploring the city. Our room was cozy, clean, and comfortably warm, which was particularly appreciated during cooler evenings. The bed was comfortable, the linens were fresh, and the overall housekeeping standards were high. The bathroom could be better but still acceptable, and the shower provided consistently hot water with good pressure — small details that make a significant difference in comfort. Although the building itself has an older architectural style, everything functioned properly and was well maintained. The elevator is indeed small, accommodating a maximum of two people at a time, but this minor inconvenience is easy to overlook given the hotel’s many advantages. Another major benefit is the excellent accessibility. With convenient connections to Liège metro station and nearby bus stops, reaching different parts of Paris was quick and effortless. This location made sightseeing much easier and more efficient for us as tourists. Overall, we genuinely enjoyed our stay and would gladly return. The combination of comfort, friendly service, fair pricing, and strategic location makes New Hotel Saint Lazare a very solid choice for travelers visiting Paris.

Aside from the location and the reception, avoid this dilapidated hotel. The room is tiny, the walls on either side of the bed are so thin you wonder if the sheets were ever changed. The bedside table is only 20cm wide—don't walk on it barefoot! The windows need replacing; they're moldy, and the cold air comes in. We paid €178 for one night. Of course, it's Paris, but for that price, you can find much better.

Strategic location for getting around during your stay in Paris! Metro 13 is very close by, and Metro 2 is just 500 meters away, as are buses that take you to all the city's main attractions. The decor is a shame, as I'd describe it as "vintage." The rooms are incredibly small; two people with two suitcases to unpack were barely able to move. The bed was quite comfortable, with four pillows. A small desk completes the tiny room. The bathroom lacks a hairdryer, but they'll provide one if you ask at reception. The shower has hot (actually boiling) water and a 1990s-style shower curtain. A plus, however, is the cleanliness of the room. We found it clean upon arrival, and it was tidied every day, even with soap refills. Breakfast was very basic and served in a sterile room on the basement floor. We much preferred trying the nearby bakeries. Friendly and courteous staff. In conclusion, the service was slightly below average compared to what you'd expect from a three-star hotel. If all you care about is a bed to rest in and a strategic location for your stay in Paris, then this is the right choice!
