We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with plush accommodations that made it easy to relax after a long day. The location was extremely convenient close to public transportation and nearby attractions, which made getting around so easy. The staff truly stood out. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast staff. Frieda was incredibly kind, and I wish I had caught the name of the other wonderful lady who she was working with. The highlight of our stay was the view from our room. It was absolutely amazing we had the perfect view of One World Trade Center, which you can even see in our photos. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

Unfortunately, I have to write this review because the hotel management showed no empathy whatsoever with our situation as business guests and hasn't responded to our emails since December. During our visit, we were immediately confronted with a rather unpleasant "Las Vegas" surcharge, which included a daily $15 Destination Fee in our rate. Easy money for the hotel, and very irritating, especially since Platinum Members already have many extras that are now doubled and what you pay for. The most annoying and extremely unhygienic situation was the executive lounge. A lounge where we, as Elite members, like to have breakfast and discuss our business day. We were confronted with guests (tourists) in pajamas, both adults and children who had just gotten out of bed and were having breakfast in partially unbuttoned pajamas and open slippers. It was an absurd situation for us. We asked the front office for an explanation, and they told us that this is official Marriott policy for their business executive lounge (see photo). The lounge was now a childcare center with adults in pajamas. We asked if we could have breakfast downstairs in the restaurant, as our culture dictates different dress codes for breakfast, but our request was denied (well, 21 years as a Platinum member is no exception). We decided to check out and walk to the Conrad Hilton, which does have dress code requirements. The hotel management said they were accommodating by waiving the early checkout fee... Such a reaction was unbelievable. My advice for business travelers: Don't go to the executive lounge at Marriott Downtown, as they now have pajama rules. For parents, children, and lingerie shows: The executive lounge at Marriott WTC Downtown is the hotel for being yourself. Finally, I want to say that neither Marriott Headquarters nor the hotel showed any cooperation or empathy. Everything is now about diversity, and dressing decently is unfortunately a thing of the past at this hotel. The hotel will undoubtedly respond to this comment, but the hard truth is that they simply abandoned us.

Came to stay here with my family during our trip to NYC. The hotel is luxurious and elegant throughout, and our room was quiet and comfortable with a nice city view. Excellent location, close to shopping/restaurants, attractions as well as several subway stations. The staff are very nice and the service was great, they helped us to securely keep our luggage for several hours after checking out upon request and did a nice job. We also appreciated the free NYC tourist tickets that the hotel gave us (got to take the Statue of Liberty boat tour using those!). Overall we had a nice stay here.
