I was disappointed by the quality of the service offered by the guest relationship employees at the hotel. First they made us wait more than 20 minutes at the reception pretending that they could not find out booking and then they wanted us to pay for the extra taxes that were already included in the fare and fees that I paid when I reserved through booking.com It is only after the arrival of the manager and our frustration that they realized they should have sorted it internally and not bother their guests with that issue. Secondly I felt like being a little ripped off when I came to pay for the breakfast fee which by the way is not clearly and explicitly mentioned on booking . When we checked out nobody cared about asking how was our stay as an overall . Furthermore I was not even made aware that I had an extra tax to pay when sorting my checkout regarding breakfast. Whether it is normal and common practice at least making your guest aware of that would be more than expected and welcomed . On other note I felt like we weren't fully welcomed due to nationality and this unfortunately was felt at sever What more to say ... It is sad to see that this hotel would need a little of revamp in terms of room furniture. And is apparently not up to the standards of the other ones within the group. One last thing ... I felt that the tags at breakfast were not that very much clear especially for people who might be gluten intolerant.

ALERT TO ALL FRENCH PEOPLE This establishment ripped us off this weekend by demanding payment of the tourist tax for the second time, claiming that Booking.com was providing false information. There's a very strong anti-French sentiment. The service was appalling; I'm extremely disappointed. I thought these kinds of practices were a thing of the past in the Flemish part of Belgium. Apparently not. Avoid this place at all costs!!
