⭐⭐ Review: NH Collection Budapest City Center — Below expectations We chose NH Collection Budapest City Center expecting a higher, “premium” standard, but after 5 days and staying in two rooms, we were genuinely disappointed. We had booked two identical rooms, yet we received two very different ones — one was clearly smaller and even missing a TV in the living area, which is a major drawback when the room is meant to have a separate seating space. The biggest problem throughout the stay was cleanliness and housekeeping. There was visible old dirt, dust, and lint in the rooms, and we have photos showing the condition. On top of that, we actually ran out of toilet paper and had to ask reception for it — and this happened two days in a row, in both rooms. Being forced to manage something that basic is unacceptable at this price level. Comfort was also lacking. The beds were very hard, the bathtub was dirty, and the rain shower didn’t work properly. These are basic standards that should be taken care of without guests having to chase the hotel for fixes. Service didn’t help the overall impression either. Reception staff often seemed uninterested and not particularly friendly. The area in front of reception is also very cramped, so you have to weave around people checking in/out, and there is no proper lounge/common area to sit and relax. We also missed having a simple coffee station/coffee machine, which is often standard in hotels of this category. Even the arrival experience was disappointing: the entrance is located in a dark backstreet, and the surrounding area feels uninviting and somewhat unfinished — better lighting and a more welcoming entrance would make a big difference. Breakfast was included, but it was one of the weakest we’ve had: dry bread, limited selection, and very poor coffee. Late check-out was also expensive (€20 per hour), which felt unreasonable after such a long stay and given the overall quality. Overall, this hotel did not meet NH Collection standards. We wouldn’t return and would recommend choosing another hotel in Budapest.

we checked in at time 3:00 pm and while we resting, one of the staff opened up the door and entered the room at time 3:13 pm saying " check out, check out " and we told him that we just checked in!!! and how you even entering our room!! he left with not even saying sorry!!!
