This is a very beautiful hotel with a private beach and a stunning pool area. There are plenty of sun loungers; however, it was disappointing to discover that guests are required to pay extra to use the loungers by the pool, even when staying at the hotel. We did so for one day, but the experience was unfortunately ruined by the extremely loud music. The volume was so high that it was impossible to relax or even have a conversation with the person next to you. I have never experienced music at such an excessive level before — not even at concerts. This is something the hotel should seriously reconsider. The beach itself is clean, well maintained, and very pleasant, and there are many good restaurants within walking distance. While you cannot see the sunset from this location, the surroundings and views are still beautiful. The rooms, however, leave quite a bit to be desired for a five-star hotel. The most significant issue was the constantly loud air conditioning, measuring over 50 dB. According to WHO guidelines, this is far above the recommended noise level for restful sleep, resulting in shallow, non-restorative sleep, noticeable fatigue, and reduced well-being the following day. We raised this issue with the staff, along with non-functioning power outlets in the bathroom, but unfortunately no action was taken. In addition to the noise from the air conditioning, the rooms are poorly soundproofed, and we could clearly hear our neighbors talking or watching TV at night, which was very disruptive. Another issue was that the hot water ran out if the shower was used for too long. The pillows were also very hard, causing neck discomfort. Furthermore, there were no bedside or ambient lamps — only ceiling spotlights — making it impossible to create softer lighting. If one person wanted to stay awake, the entire room had to be fully lit. The absolute highlight of the hotel was the service. The staff were exceptionally friendly and genuinely service-minded. The breakfast was outstanding — without a doubt one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever experienced. Additional positives were the very low number of children, contributing to a calm atmosphere, and a modern, well-equipped gym.

My opinion of this hotel is very mixed, and honestly, I don't think it lives up to its 5-star rating. It all started as soon as we arrived in Koh Samui. We had booked a transfer from the airport through the hotel. The driver, hired by Nikki Beach, arrived almost an hour late, and during the journey, we were in a car accident. Fortunately, it wasn't serious, but it's still shocking for an establishment of this caliber. The hotel then offered financial compensation, covering the cost of the airport transfers, which I appreciated. They also paid for our first dinner on the day we arrived. Upon arriving in the room, I quickly noticed mold around the air conditioning vents, which I find unacceptable and potentially dangerous to one's health, especially in a luxury hotel. Generally speaking, there was a real lack of communication and coordination between the teams (reception, restaurant, and other services). I had sent an email a month in advance to inform them that I am gluten intolerant, particularly because we were dining at Nikki Beach for New Year's Eve. On the day itself, nothing had been anticipated or prepared. Financial compensation was offered, but this is no substitute for genuinely listening to customer needs. Regarding the gluten-free options, they are very limited. At breakfast, the only suitable option was a simple seeded bread. In most of the 5-star hotels I've stayed in, there are usually croissants, muffins, cereals, or other gluten-free alternatives, which was not the case here. For people with intolerances or specific dietary needs, this hotel is clearly not suitable. There is also a significant language barrier. Some staff members have great difficulty understanding basic English, which makes communication complicated, even when explaining calmly or demonstrating. On several occasions, I repeatedly asked for certain things, only to have them neither understood nor fulfilled. Room service was also very slow: once after an hour, another time after 35 minutes, which is a long time for an establishment of this caliber. Furthermore, even today, we were told that someone would come to help us with our luggage, which ultimately didn't happen. Regarding the location, the hotel is quite isolated. By scooter, it takes about 40 minutes to reach Chaweng and 30 minutes to Lamai. There isn't much in the immediate vicinity, just a few small markets. On the other hand, a positive point: the hotel offers scooter rentals directly on site. It's easy, inexpensive, quick, and it went very smoothly for us. The hotel's architecture is very attractive, the spaces are beautiful, the staff is generally friendly, and the food is good. However, upon closer inspection, one notices cracked paint, water leaks, and, once again, a lot of mold, giving an impression of neglect, a lack of modernity, and poor maintenance. Regarding the beach behind the hotel, it is not private, contrary to what some photos might suggest. It is not very choppy, which means the water tends to stagnate. Sometimes there is litter, the water can turn green, and we even saw dead fish. However, this depends on the time of day and the weather: after rougher seas, the beach can become pleasant again. In short, despite a pleasant setting, I find that the service, communication, customer service, adaptation to specific needs, and overall quality do not meet the expectations of a true 5-star hotel. There is strong potential, but it deserves to be developed much further, modernized, and more attentive to the actual needs of guests.
