Me and my dad rented a room for 6 days in late December. I dare say that this is an incredible hotel. For the 4 stars that they have, the meals, the services, everything was sublime. Our room was also rather cozy and tidy, had a TV, WiFi, coffee table, armchair, everything you might need to spend your time at Ankara in comfort. Aside from the minor troubles with the lights in the bathroom, we had no particular issues. The Turkish breakfast that you can collect for yourself during the early hours, 7-10 am, was amazing. I chucked down every chocolate cake slice I could get my hands on, the scrambled egg meals were soooo nutritive, the veggies were fresh as well. I loved the coffee machine for the cappuccino chocolate option of whatever it was called. There were also two small juice tanks every breakfast, where the one with the orange juice was regularly diluted with water and thus unpalatable. That was the only downside I could think of. Of much consideration is where the hotel is situated. There are grocery stores, restraunts, all within a 3-5 minute walk. We especially loved the Smooth Pub bar that was immediately adjacent to the hotel. There's a mosque not too far away. I also think this is the best place to stay at in all of Ankara if what brings you to the city is some business with the Turkish-American Association, because it is literally 7 minutes away from the hotel. It was of great help on the morning I had to attend their Prometric. One downside to the hotel's geography is that it is quite withdrawn from most of the currency exchange offices around, with the closest one being around 15 minutes away. This is especially troublesome if you arrive to Ankara on Sundays (like we did), because most exchanges are closed on those days, so you would then have to find a working one by travelling downtown, which is a 45 min trip afoot; even then, most of those exchanges that work on Sundays fleece you for 3% at least. But this is more of a trip planning problem. I liked that the hotel accepted euros and were altogether sociable and affable. I appreciate the reception workers for providing me with receipts as soon as they could. Definitely recommend.
