Noosa Crest Resort

If I could give 0 stars to Noosa Crest, I would. From the moment we walked into apartment 20 it was extremely disappointing. The blinds were tangled and couldn’t be opened, there were pink stains on the carpet, a blood stain on the bed sheets, ants around the sink, bird droppings above it, and areas such as above the shower had clearly not been cleaned. The bathroom ceiling had been patched from water leaks and not even painted, making the apartment look poorly maintained. The photos online were nothing like what we walked into. We were also unable to cook breakfast as the apartment had induction cooking but no suitable pans provided. After contacting management, onsite staff attended but were dismissive and argumentative, even stating, “we’re not a 5-star hotel,” which was extremely unprofessional. To make matters worse, we were only advised one day before arrival that body corporate works would be happening during our stay. This should have been disclosed before booking or payment. I come on holidays and pay this kind of money to relax — not to deal with cleanliness issues and disrespectful staff. For over $500 per night, I expect a clean and properly maintained apartment. The only positive was that staff eventually rectified some cleaning issues and provided a pan suitable for the stovetop, which was appreciated. However, after driving three hours from the Gold Coast, the overall experience was extremely disappointing and I would not recommend staying here. Thankfully, the location was the only thing they weren’t completely incapable of ruining.

Looking a little tired and dated, room was not that clean, found beach clothes left in laundry from previous guest. Lounge floor rug a trip hazard. Stay for 5 nights with 5 adults and a child, only two kitchen bin bags and 2 toilet paper rolls. Could be a little more attention to detail.

The view from our apartment is very good. The downside, it is 33 stairs to get up and down, the stairs are currently occupied by painters. There is no porter, my husband (age 83) struggled with getting our cases down and not sure how we will get them back up. Reception did not care to tell us about the stairs (nor the painting and reno work going on) and when asked for help we were told there is none. Not good. The place is also very worn and not clean with dirty toilets and mould on the bathroom ceiling. No working fans in either bathroom. Maybe we just got a shabby apartment, (curtains coming off, broken furniture etc.). It is also very noisy with doors slamming and you can hear people walking overhead etc. Would stay again, not if you paid us to. ****Update after Crest response. I received an email AFTER we had checked in, that painting and reno work was being carried out while we were staying. That mould and unkept state of this apartment was a long time in the making, working exhaust fans in both bathrooms would help with mould. I took many more images which I would be delighted to publish. The place was ‘shabby’ and not with a ‘chic’ added. I tried calling reception Friday afternoon after we checked in but reception did not pick up. This apartment was a fail, and the owners response has further tainted our experience.
