I got an email from ACCOR asking for feedback First, the signage out the front for valet is non-existent. There is also no staff members around. I had to call while circling around the city. Then, I have to go in to let them know I was doing valet. There were 3 staff members standing at the “concierge” counter talking (no guests around) I felt like I was intruding. Then, when checking in we were told breakfast wasn’t included, then we asked him to clarify and he stood corrected. The hallways are dimly lit and bare, they weren’t inviting at all. Once we go to the room is where the real let down began. We were in room 820z When you first enter you see the bathroom and see the floor is dirty. There were stains on the floor and dirty footprints all over. Then the carpet had crumbs on it. The room was very awkward. It felt like it was solitary confinement room that was placed next to a random outdoor area with no access. The room had no natural lighting because the area outside was covered and dark. The layout of the room was poorly thought out. The room was just dark. The breakfast had no signage letting you know what was gluten free. Then when you asked a staff member they go to the kitchen and comeback with an unconvincing response. Novotel could learn from IHG as their hotels do a great job of labelling what is gluten free. This was a real letdown as an ACCOR member. I won’t be staying with NOVOTEL again .
