The condition is quite old, but the bedding is clean, so it's comfortable to stay in. The room has two large beds, making it perfect for families. The location is excellent, making it convenient for exploring Rotorua. As a Novotel, the service is, of course, excellent.

I had a very disappointing experience at Novotel Rotorua. The room service was extremely poor. We asked the staff to clean our room, but nobody ever came to do it during our stay. On top of that, the key cards for our room kept malfunctioning. We went to reception to get a new card, but the replacement also stopped working shortly after. This was very frustrating and inconvenient. We also tried calling reception from our room many times to get help, but nobody answered the phone. We called many times with no response.They also wrongly accused us of lighting a fire, I was making tea and as the water boils it creates steam which set of the fire alarm. The rooms were also quite small, and the lack of service made the stay even worse. Overall, the experience was disappointing and did not meet the standards I expected from a hotel like Novotel. I hope the management improves their service and responsiveness in the future.
