The hotel is in a great location and the staff were genuinely helpful and friendly throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. However, the bathroom let the room down. It wasn’t very clean, showed signs of mould, and felt quite dated. We only stayed for two nights, which was manageable, but we wouldn’t have been comfortable staying longer in that room. Overall, good service and location, but the room condition needs attention

The hotel itself was lovely, the staff were helpful and friendly. I just think since the bridge is no longer there connecting you to the harbour it’s no longer as convenient as it once was. Now having to walk through the car park (which half the time smelt like sewerage) was a big inconvenience with 4 kids. It took 10mins just to get down to the harbour.

1. Misleading Advertising: We were "upgraded" to a Harbour View room (Room 340) that was entirely obstructed by new construction. Continuing to market these rooms as "Harbour View" is deceptive. 2. Severe Cleanliness & Maintenance Failures: Our anniversary welcome macaroons were expired by nearly a full year (Exp: Jan 28, 2025). Room 340 featured black grout, rusty toilet buttons, and permanently stained pillowcases. Staff defended the stained linens as "clean," which is unacceptable for a 4.5-star property. Room 345 (a downgrade move) was equally poor, with broken tiles, soap scum, and visible grime. 3. Physical Injury & Managerial Misconduct: Most disturbingly, my wife sustained an insect bite while sleeping in Room 340. When reported, the attending manager was dismissive, scrutinizing my wife’s hand for a "puncture wound." Furthermore, this manager’s critique of my wife’s dark skin—making judgments about how discoloration "should" look on her complexion—was racially insensitive and outlandish. As she is not a medical professional, her dismissive assessment of a guest's injury was entirely inappropriate. 4. Personal Impact: As a neurodivergent guest, the pervasive uncleanliness caused significant distress, forcing us to avoid the room entirely. This experience ruined our milestone celebration and severely damaged my trust in the ALL Accor brand. Conclusion: A refund is a baseline for a failed service; it is not compensation for injury or insensitive conduct.
