An authentic and affordable hotel. The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff, the delicious breakfast, the comfortable beds, and the convenient parking are particularly noteworthy. This time we only stayed one night, but we will definitely keep the Hotel Hagemann in mind for future trips to Hamburg.

We stayed here as a couple for 5 nights. We were on the 4th floor. The 3-star rooms have nothing to do with the beautiful pictures shown on the website. It was a small room with a sloping ceiling, basic and clean. No curtains. No pictures. Very small flat-screen TV. The safe was at the very bottom of the wardrobe, where you'd have to crawl in to use it. The bathroom was okay: shower, toilet, sink, hairdryer. Very noisy. We knew exactly when the neighbors arrived. Cleaning was okay. The 3-star reception was okay. Very reserved and sometimes didn't even manage a smile for the guests. Breakfast was okay, but not worth 3 stars. We have more variety at home. Breakfast was the same every day for 5 days. Two kinds of pre-baked rolls. Two juices. Tea, coffee, milk, and cocoa powder. Four kinds of cold cuts, three kinds of jam, two kinds of cheese, and scrambled and boiled eggs. Oh yes, there was also yogurt and canned fruit salad. Fresh fruit was available: apples, bananas, and sliced cucumber and tomato. It was a real shame that there was no alternative for lactose-intolerant people like myself. No lactose-free milk, no yogurt. Nothing. This severely limited the selection. It was the worst breakfast we've ever had in a hotel. The area (2 stars) is quite unique. As a woman, I wouldn't want to walk around there alone. There's a bus stop in front of the building, but I have no idea where the bus goes. We didn't use it. The small Italian restaurant in the building deserves 5+ stars. The incredibly friendly young waiter with glasses provided such wonderful service. He was always friendly and always had a smile on his face. The value for money is also very good. The restaurant gets 5 stars, and the waiter gets 10+ stars. A very empathetic young man and highly recommended. But overall, we had a lovely stay. 👍

There was no parking available upon our arrival. The receptionist insisted I park elsewhere, even though I explained that there was plenty of space and other cars could easily get in. He didn't believe me and demanded my phone number. This behavior was unpleasant. However, all the other staff members were very friendly and helpful.
