Nubian Village, Families and Couples only

We stayed during New Year's Eve week. Excellent hotel with excellent food (remember, we're in Egypt). The waiters were friendly and quick to serve. New Year's Eve was a disaster. They made us dine at 6:30 PM with 150 people crammed into the restaurant, only to then sit outside from 7:30 PM watching boring shows, waiting for midnight. I didn't like the entertainment. They focus too much on taking photos to post on social media and not on substance. The evenings aren't like those of a good resort, and starting the evening entertainment at 9:45 PM is a terrible idea, given that the sun sets early during this period, and it's hard to get to 9:45 PM without getting bored.

Very well-kept hotel, stayed from 30/11 to 8/12 on the island side. Spacious room, impeccable cleanliness, local pool staff very attentive to respecting the rules, very kind waiting staff, Mohamed a real force!!!! Very varied and never repetitive food, good quality. BRAVO and international entertainment always present but never intrusive, very present and prepared miniclub entertainment, BRAVO excursions, very prepared staff, excellent level. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

We left hoping to spend a New Year's Eve week soaking up the sun and relaxation, but instead... Let's start with our arrival: a 40-minute wait in the resort lobby before checking in and about an hour to get to our room. The rooms are dated, but above all, dirty! The room is "tidied" but not cleaned during our stay. The mattresses and pillows are great for hurting your back and neck. We had to go to reception six times to get a second card to open the door, each time explaining the lack of cards because the property was full. We only received one on the third day. The Romanian receptionist was very arrogant and rude. We purchased a package of three excursions at the Bravo desk. Gamal (I think that's his name) is an excellent salesman, but be aware that if you buy from him, you'll be seen as a human cash machine. Prices are double those of other groups, and excursions aren't respected, with return trips taking more than two hours after the scheduled time because they fill the buses with people from other villages, which takes longer. Oh, and the bus driver requires a tip. On New Year's Eve, we dared to drink drinks with ice. After asking to pay for two bottles of wine, both arrived warm and were therefore unused. Today, we're in bed due to well-known problems. New Year's Eve dinner: a table was set in the garden, but it's a shame about the windstorm and the temperatures, which were far from ideal for a dinner under the stars. The food is repetitive: chicken, chicken, and more chicken. The facility and the staff (sometimes very rude) are unable to handle the pressure of the number of people present at this time. The beach: until noon, the tide is low and the seabed emerges as far as the start of the coral reef, so to swim, you'll have to go to the jetty and only enter the deep water beyond the reef. The reef is in a very poor state, exploited and damaged by finned swimmers and uncivilized tourists. To sum up: THE SLEEP IS BAD THE EAT IS BAD THE DRINK IS BAD A 5-star resort that charges like a 5-star hotel but offers terrible services. Forget it.
