Comfortable but tired. Cleaning needs a bit of quality improvement - some mould in the shower, window ledges had lots of accumulate dust & “grime”, room staff forgot to replenish tea etc, only one glass supplied and that needed a reclean before use. Good access to USB & general charge facilities in room. Front desk staff very helpful. Disappointing that the restaurant was not available Sunday night even for a post travel drink. Location is good but the services for mentally unwell & homeless people in Wellington are clearly really bad. Anyway a bit of consistent managerial QA would help.

The hotel is located on a square where several displaced people have chosen to sleep. The hotel can't do anything about that. The room on the 8th floor is very spacious, has a beautiful bathroom with a walk-in rain shower, and a king-size bed. The bed is excellent, and we can relax on comfortable chairs. The staff is helpful. Parking in the hotel garage, which is secured by a steel door, is a challenge. Lots of concrete and especially narrow passageways. The breakfast is good, and restaurants, the harbor, shops, and Te Papa are just around the corner. All in all, this hotel was an excellent choice in terms of comfort.

I’ve been to the Oaks Hotel several times. Stayed last night the room was great the staff on reception are great but breakfast was appalling. Went to get a cup of tea and was told they had run out of milk!!!! Went to get scrambled eggs which had just come out of the kitchen they were cold the bacon and sausage very poor quality it’s really gone down hill. I won’t be recommending this hotel again unfortunately as previously.
