Old Palace Sahl Hasheseh

My husband and I were in Egypt for the first time, and we were delighted to find ourselves in Sahl Hasheesh, specifically at the Old Palace Resort. Firstly, the town itself is elegant, with a wide promenade stretching 14 km along it. You can admire the Piazza with its fountains, or even walk to the artificial sunken city and snorkel there. It's so stylish and luxurious! At the same time, we loved the simple layout of the hotels; almost all of them face the promenade, so you can catch a show while walking in the evening. The hotel exemplifies respectability and customer service. You feel right at home, it's very cozy, all your problems are solved, and the receptionists are very friendly. The cuisine is excellent, the grill is amazing. I tried the crab, and it was a challenge not to overeat. I really liked the chalet room with a patio overlooking the lawn. A white heron lives nearby; it sometimes walks along the lawn, but more often it catches small fish in the surf. We found two small reefs in the hotel's waters, but the longer coral reef to the right of the beach, opposite the unfinished hotel, if you're heading toward the Tropitel Hotel, is more interesting. Lots of birds, including hoopoes. Special thanks to the gardening team, the wonderful design and excellent condition of the garden. A special thanks to the entertainment team: Adriano was amazing, he showed us some really helpful stretching exercises, and there was also belly dancing, aqua aerobics, and a show. My only wish is that the show would start earlier; we were already asleep at 9:30 PM with an hour's difference, and then early in the morning we have to run to find available sun loungers. But overall, everything was wonderful! I already miss it and want to go back.

We stayed at Weinachten in December 2024. We loved everything. The room was a little tired. The staff was friendly. The entertainment staff was beyond praise. The food was delicious. Santa arrived by boat, and we met him on the beach. The festive dinner was wonderful. Our favorite part was the greetings in all languages every morning. Thank you to everyone who worked hard to make our holiday and vacation a wonderful experience.

The Old Palace Resort in Sahl Hasheesh boasts a beautiful beachfront location, not far from the Piazza and the "old town" of Sahl Hasheesh. The hotel complex and the beach are separated only by the promenade. Free sun loungers are available for hotel guests. The beach slopes gently into the sea, and at the beginning of November, the sea was exceptionally calm – ideal for the young children in our travel group. The hotel rooms, like the hotel itself, are somewhat dated. The service is friendly but can sometimes seem a bit disorganized. The food was good and varied during our 8-day stay. The entertainment program is generally adequate, and there are special programs for children, which our kids enjoyed.
