This is a hotel I'd barely give a maximum of two stars, not four (strongly not recommended). I'll start by saying that I don't usually write negative reviews, but I've found so many issues that I feel compelled to point them out. The hotel is very old, creaky, and completely unsoundproofed. The first night, I woke up three times to loud noises that I attributed to an earthquake or as if someone was trying to break down a door. Very loud footsteps can be heard both above the ceiling and in adjacent rooms, thumps and very loud noises can be heard. Outside, all outside noises can be heard from the window. The ventilation system (air conditioning control) is out of date and unusable. When it's turned on, it makes a very loud hum, making it impossible to stay in the room. In the bathroom, when the door is closed, the ceiling seems to fall, making very strange noises. It needs renovations. There wasn't even shampoo for showering. The hairdryer was useless. The 22-inch TV was very small, and the standard channels weren't even broadcasting properly. There was a lot of dust in the room, probably from the curtains. Breakfast should be served at least from 6:30 (international hotel standards and best practices). The hotel is located outside of Rome's city center; the metro is a 12-minute walk away, so it's not even convenient. You have to leave early in the morning, and breakfast should be brought forward otherwise it's not accessible. The exclusion of the €30 tourist tax was unclear.

Excellent location. Breakfast was poor for celiacs. Even though I called to check if there were gluten-free products for breakfast, they had nothing on the first day. On the second day, very few items and no biscuits.

It was terrible, the toilets got clogged, the drinking water ran out, they didn't clean your room, and they took pictures of our personal belongings.
