If you're looking to stay near the Vatican, this is the perfect place! Its location is very convenient, less than a 5-minute walk from St. Peter's Basilica and less than 10 minutes from the Ottaviano metro station. It's also close to restaurants and convenience stores. The welcome was great, the staff were friendly and welcoming (especially the young woman who gave us all the information we needed and was very helpful – she speaks excellent French). However, the rooms could use some updating; they offer only the bare minimum in terms of comfort. The only real drawback is the soundproofing; you can hear street noise as well as people talking in other rooms (luckily for us, we stayed in early February, so there were very few people in the hotel). Nice for a short stay, but not particularly worthwhile.

As other reviews show, this porperty is quite dated and so are the rooms. Don't expect anything near a 4*-interior. On the bright side, the staff is super-friendly, cleaning is done properly and the location is superb for exploring Rome. So if you get a good value deal, you can have a sufficent rest here after a day out.
