Pros: 5-minute walk to the Trevi Fountain, walking distance to various landmarks, bus stop right in front of the property, Zara, Starbucks, Uniqlo, and a large, inexpensive supermarket. Cooking allowed in the room, and Netflix and YouTube were available on the TV. Cons: First of all, the building I was assigned to was under construction. As soon as I walked in, all the plumbing was ripped out, and it felt like an abandoned building, but they didn't specifically mention this. The building was under construction, so I could hear the construction and the sounds of laborers (even right outside the door). The shower stall didn't drain properly. I was worried about a leak, so I had to wipe the floor with a refillable towel, but they didn't refill it. (They fixed it right away when I WhatsApped them, but by the third day, it was showing signs of clogging again.) Regardless of how many nights I stayed, I had to pay for towel refills (15 euros). Luggage storage after checkout was also charged (5 euros). While the location is admittedly a bit of a rip-off, I was on the highest floor, but the smoke was so strong that I couldn't open the door. The sash was old. The soundproofing isn't great, so the car noise is horrendous. Because it's an old building, the hot water capacity is limited to 100 liters, so if you're unlucky, the water might cut off while you're showering. The water is also incredibly cold. Oh, and there were bugs in the room within five minutes of checking in. There are so many downsides, but the reception manager was incredibly friendly.
