We booked this hotel after seeing many excellent reviews online, so we arrived with high expectations. The location is excellent and very convenient for exploring Rome. The reception staff were friendly, welcoming, and spoke very good English, which made check-in smooth and pleasant. However, we might have been a bit unlucky with our room. The sound insulation was quite poor, and when we opened the window we discovered a construction site right outside. The bathroom itself was spacious and clean, but the ventilation did not seem to work, so after every hot shower the entire bathroom stayed full of humidity for a very long time. Breakfast was also a bit of a surprise. Because of the very dim lighting in the breakfast area, it was actually quite difficult to see the food clearly. I often had to guess what I was picking based on the shape, and only discovered what it really was once I returned to my table. That said, the American coffee was excellent and definitely helped start the day on a good note.
