The environment is nice, and the room is fully equipped, with all the necessary kitchen utensils, a toaster, microwave, etc. There are restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Suitable for a vacation.

They took a 300 euro deposit from my credit card and 18 days later they have not released the hold on the funds in my account. They are not responding to my emails.

The hotel receptionist asked me to pay a €300 security deposit when I checked in, saying this would be refunded when I checked out. I was given the option of paying cash or card. I paid on my MasterCard. Upon checking out, they asked for my card for the refund transaction. The transaction declined and the receptionist said it is because it has been 7 days and the money is now frozen. She said I would just have to be patient for the money to go back into my account and that it should happen within 7 to 10 days. It has now been over 10 days. The money is not back in my account and the hotel is telling me I have to contact my bank. My bank says I have to wait 31 days. This is really not good enough when I was promised a refund upon checkout. Further, at the time of checking in, the receptionist wrote down my entire MasterCard number, expiry date and three digit security code on an A4 sheet and retained it. This is in direct contravention of MasterCard's terms and conditions for merchants.
