Oyado Uraku

I booked a room for about 20,000 yen per night, and I highly recommend the tatami room.

Located on a main road, it's a bit of a walk from Yufuin Station to the accommodation. The service was friendly, the rooms were comfortable, and the private room, Kikyou, is highly recommended.

The reasons I booked this inn were: 1. Delicious food & in-room dining 2. Detached building & in-room bath Hardware impressions - The main building, bath area, and parking lot are all within 10 steps of each other on a small lot, and the neighboring buildings adjoin each other, so there's no sense of separation at all. - The boiler was outside the room and was so noisy I couldn't sleep all night. - The building is old and unrenovated, so the walls are still dirty and the overall feel is quite unclean. - The in-room bath was fine, but the large public bath is very small and only allows up to three people. Software impressions - The food was as delicious as expected, but the waitresses were not very knowledgeable, so whenever I asked, they would just say, "I'll check," and to top it off, the menu changed this month and they still don't know... I wish they wouldn't serve me in such a state. It's rude. - After serving our meal, the staff left the teapot and teacups without any explanation. We thought they'd make us tea when they returned, but when we noticed, the teapot had already been taken away. We had no choice but to make our own tea using the tea provided in the room. - We returned from our morning walk 15 minutes before the requested breakfast time, only to find our breakfast already sitting outside the entrance. While we weren't late, we don't know how long it had been there. The fact that they'd left our food in a place likely filled with insects shows the inn's lack of awareness of food. Incidentally, we visited in early September, when the heat of summer was still lingering. Overall, it was a disappointing stay. It wasn't a cheap place, but the service we received was not up to our expectations.
