I arrived at the property after 11pm with my two children, only to be redirected to a completely different location, an 8-minute drive away, due to a supposed maintenance issue—despite our booking being accepted. Upon entering the other property, we immediately noticed people smoking marijuana. When I raised this concern, I was met with the response, “Oh yeah, we’ll tell them to stop!” We were then shown to a room, but the place was filthy, poorly maintained, and had a shared bathroom—completely different from what we had paid for. It was clearly unsafe, especially for my 15-year-old daughter. My children felt unsafe, so we left immediately and booked alternative accommodation. Despite the situation, we were still charged. The property has refused to return my money or engage with us through booking.com, and booking.com has yet to resolve the issue. This experience has been unacceptable. Rooms: So misleading, Stay away!

Avoid OYO Cheetham Hill Guest House at all costs! This place is an absolute disaster. Firstly, the location is a mess – trash bins are piled up right in front of the building, creating a terrible smell that greets you as soon as you arrive. The woman who gave me the key was rude and unprofessional, making the whole experience uncomfortable from the start. The room (number 3) was in a shocking state: the bed was broken, making it impossible to sleep properly. The bin hadn’t been emptied, and the bathroom was equally appalling with a broken toilet seat. As if that wasn't enough, the towels were stained, the bed linen was dirty, and the wardrobe was filled with random cartons. It was like they didn't even bother preparing the room for guests. We couldn’t tolerate it for more than five minutes. We immediately left the property and have already requested a refund from the booking app. To anyone thinking about booking here: DON'T. This place should not even be available for rent. I seriously urge all third-party platforms where this property is listed to remove it immediately. It's a health hazard and an embarrassment to hospitality. For the love of God, do yourself a favor and book somewhere else!
