We stayed at this hotel, but our experience was very disappointing. The property is very poorly maintained and desperately needs renovation. Room 48 was tiny, located between two elevators, and had no Wi-Fi, despite my repeated trips downstairs to ask why. The attendant on duty in the evening was quite irritated by our requests. In the bathroom, I killed a bug, and the decor is very outdated. The shower was old-fashioned and fixed in place. The mattress was uncomfortable. Breakfast was poor, although the staff were friendly and kind, unlike the evening reception. The location is perfect, and the hotel has a nice rooftop, but honestly, I don't understand why this hotel is rated 4 stars.

The room was very nice, but the ceiling was a bit dirty and had a burn hole. Breakfast was phenomenally delicious (buffet with bread, scrambled eggs, fruit, pastries, etc.) and we could reach all the main sights on foot in under 40 minutes.

PERFECT. We're perplexed by the flood of negative reviews. We want to correct this injustice. We were very lucky with the Hotel Pace Helvezia!!! An excellent room on the fifth floor overlooking the courtyard. This location guarantees peace and quiet with a stunning view of the Vittorio Emanuele monument and ancient domes. The room is spacious, beautifully decorated, and stylish, with sheets and towels changed daily. The breakfast is generous by Roman standards, with excellent coffee, fruit, pastries, omelets, cold meats, and cereal. We stayed in December for the Christmas holidays, and the heaters and air conditioning worked as well. There was hot water, the lights never went out, everything worked, including the elevator, and the restaurant never ran out of food. No, nothing like that happened to us. We had a stunning panorama of ancient Rome from the balcony. The view from the upper terrace is even better; for a similar panoramic view at the neighboring VIP restaurant, you need to reserve several months in advance and pay an advance of 50 euros per person. We bought champagne, grabbed glasses from the restaurant, and enjoyed several magnificent sunsets at a table on the rooftop. From the hotel, a 10-minute walk takes you through the archway down to the Trevi Fountain. Another 5 minutes to Piazza Navona. All the sights are within walking distance. Perfect. We'll definitely be back! Excellent location, amenities, views, breakfast. Excellent staff, we thank the Romans for their respect and great atmosphere!
