An unforgettable rafting trip with Johanna's team at Pacuare River Lodge. Johanna organizes everything to ensure everyone has a fantastic experience. Fernando took the (free) photos, ensured everyone's safety, and provided a delicious meal with great skill, kindness, and humor. Walter expertly piloted the raft and, what's more, has a knack for spotting animals in the trees. The rapids, up to Class IV, cover 21 km, and the scenery is magnificent, with gorges and waterfalls. In short, an unmissable adventure if you're reasonably fit, but no rafting experience is necessary. Thanks again, Johanna, for your kindness and energy, and cheers to French wine and pâté! 😊

A fantastic place far from civilization with beautiful views, delicious food, exciting rafting, excellent service, and excellent organization. We spent the night listening to the sounds of the jungle and the babbling of the stream, and in the morning we were greeted by the sunrise and clouds peeking out from the forests. The rafting was professionally managed by experienced guides, and since we had high water levels, it was a great ride. I highly recommend it!

Good: Surrounded by beautiful nature. A fantastic ecolodge, with fantastic rafting and a wonderful waterfall for swimming. The staff are friendly, and the food is delicious. Bad: Unfortunately, the lodge has seen better days. Only a few rooms are recommendable. Floorboards or railings are often missing, many fly screens are full of holes or broken, chairs are broken, and toilet lids are broken. Faucets are dripping, and all the curtains and many mattresses look ancient. The mattresses are also worn out. Some rooms have no toilets. When we were there, there had been no electricity for several weeks. A headlamp is recommended. Communication beforehand was poor.
