Worst hotel room ever

Our stay at the hotel was unfortunately mixed and largely below expectations. The staff was consistently kind and pleasant, which was a big plus. However, there were several shortcomings in the room. The leather sofa was uncomfortable and the room lacked practical details such as bedside tables, space to put bags and opportunities to hang clothes. The AC leaked large amounts of water, which meant that we had to put a box underneath to avoid the living room floor getting wet. The bathroom was one of the biggest problems. It lacked ventilation and the drain did not work well, which led to the floor filling with water because the drains were on the other side of the room from the shower. The shower also had poor pressure, the toilet was loose and wobbled when you sat on it, and the room smelled of both urine and sewage. The cleaning was also inadequate. During the first two days we did not receive any cleaning at all, and only when we asked were we told that you had to notify the reception daily if you wanted cleaning. This should be clearly communicated at check-in. The restaurant gave a mixed impression. The music and drinks were good, but at breakfast only half of the party got their food after a very long wait. Lunch was also not very good. Another disturbing experience was loud Russian guests partying until 2am on one occasion, despite the caretaker telling them off three times during the night.

Not so affordable. But nice outdoor environment around the pools. Large rooms but no storage areas, no shelves or hooks. Just a bedside table on one side of the bed. In the bathroom the towel rack was hanging three quarters of the way up. The safety box couldn't be opened in our room. The key to the box was hanging on the room key where it also had the hotel's name and room number!!! So you don't want to store anything there anyway. No cleaning or emptying of the trash can in the toilet seemed to be included. A big minus is that breakfast is not included and it took forever to serve a cup of coffee in the morning.
