3 nights into a 8 night stay and it’s not going well. The good: room is nice and adequate. Location of resort is great. The pools are nice. The bad: food poisoning at lunch Sunday from the chicken quesadillas. Was a rough 12 hours after that. And DO NOT BOOK the sunset catamaran from the hotel. Waste of money. Didn’t get to see the dolphins as promised. The boat didn’t have enough seating for all the people they booked. The drinks and food was mediocre at best (drinks were actually really gross and everyone switched to beer). $130 a person?!? Even at $130 for a couple would be too much. Better snorkeling right off the beach at the resort.

The front desk staff were helpful and professional. In fact, all the staff was. The rooms were clean and housekeeping did an amazing job cleaning up the sand tracked in. The ac worked wonderfully in our room. The beach access was close and easy to get to. That is where the positive ends. If you would like to take a hot shower, don't stay here. Limited, very limited hot water. Maybe 7 minutes if lucky. Oh, water pressure? Disappears all the time. No shelf in the shower so you had to put your shampoo, etc right on the floor. No plug in the bathroom sink. Zero counter space for any type of toiletries. No hangers that actually keep your shirt on. They are bent and never stay in the holder. No dresser or place other than some shelving in the closet for any clothes. No place to set open luggage other than the bed or floor. One chair in the room and it was a wicker outdoor chair. No coffee maker in the room. DO NOT invest in an "all inclusive" stay. Their breakfast buffet was the absolute worst we have ever had. Thank goodness our stay was bed and breakfast only. The food was cold, even when you were one of the first at the buffet at opening. Eggs watery, pancakes cold, biscuits, rolls, muffins were extremely dry with zero flavor. Took forever to get a cup of coffee or refill. The omelets were delicious as they were made per your request. To think our total stay for 6 nights was over $2,000 is ridiculous and a pure rip off. We had two rooms, so I spent over $4,000 for a hotel that was to be a "paradise " ended up extremely disappointing. This was our 6th time to Roatan and we were so excited to stay here. The buildings are nothing as they were before. Even their big chair at the beach is in sad shape. Shop around. There are many other places in better condition with more reasonable prices.
