PASA GARDEN BEACH HOTEL

I stayed at the hotel at the end of October, and it was the worst hotel of all my trips to Turkey. From the very beginning, there was a problem with the single-bed room. After complaining that we wouldn't be sharing a bed, the offended reception staff gave us another room. What a room! It was on the ground floor, right by the reception entrance, where anyone could see in, and the receptionist was banging the rug against the railing of the supposed balcony. The room was tiny; to open the wardrobe, you had to move an armchair right up to the door and push a small table under the side table with the kettle on it. Even finding space for a suitcase was a problem. It definitely wasn't the room I'd seen in the photos. Many guests had left the next day, but changing rooms was out of the question. A definite plus is the hotel's location, close to the sea and the promenade leading to the city center. The photos on the hotel's website are taken from a distance, making everything appear larger. In reality, the hotel is tiny, cramped, and has old furnishings. The tables and seats at the bar are dirty and shabby. The glasses at the bar are often poorly washed, the coffee machine is low quality, and the coffee is also poor. The tea service isn't much better; guests have a few sachets of fruit and linden tea. The tea brewed in the teapot isn't the best; frequent refills of water result in a straw-like effect. And then there's the restaurant, tiny and the biggest disappointment. Two types of toast and a baguette are available. The cutting board used to be white, but now it's not the cleanest. Breakfast is the same every day and very poor; forget about a pancake or an omelet. There's none of that here. Nothing is prepared in front of guests, and there's no smell of cooked or grilled food. The food looks extremely unappetizing; what wasn't served for lunch is served for dinner. The only meat available is chicken. The children's area only offers cereal, cold milk in a carton, some old, stale wafers, biscuits, and dried-out lokum. A very limited selection of vegetables. Vinegar flies hover over the supposedly fresh ones. The cakes are pre-made, always the same, and the selection is very limited, sometimes even limited. Only the ready-made cream puffs in chocolate sauce were edible. Forget baklava or other Turkish delicacies. Besides, 90% of the dishes are pre-made; the rest are made from leftover pastes or other ointments. Turkish pancakes with fillings and pizzas are store-bought rubbish. One tiny smoked fish for all the guests is a joke. If you arrive later, you have no choice. I've noticed that many guests eat at nearby pubs and never come for breakfast. This is the first time I've seen an employee just sit at a table and do nothing. Here, it's like this: the lady walks around. I only once saw her fry an egg for one guest, then sit down, eat, and watch the guests. There are bottles of sauces and olive oil, but most of them are empty. During our stay, no one refilled them. I've never seen such sad staff in any hotel, with no smiles, no conversation. Even the girl at the bar makes drinks silently with a sad expression. The hotel has a free sauna, but it's a shame the guy at the front desk says otherwise. You have to ask for everything yourself, even for a card to use beach towels. The beach is tiny and very dirty, with leftover food, glass, and plastic. None of the staff cares about guests on the beach, and there's no help. To set up an umbrella, which is quite difficult to set up, you had to ask the staff from the hotel next door or a guest who had figured out how to do it. The hotel has enormous potential, but a lot needs to be changed, first and foremost by the manager and then by the chefs. This hotel is more for older people, certainly not for families with children. But perhaps the worst part is that the hotel staff divides guests into better and worse, and this is very noticeable. The better ones can come to the restaurant drunk in a swimsuit, and they have access to an elevator and a clean, uncluttered entrance to their room.

The location is perfect, practically on the beach, and the view from the room is simply breathtaking! | Special thanks to the staff, everyone is very polite and always smiling. I'd especially like to thank Tony for creating a cheerful atmosphere for everyone at the hotel, every day.
