Fantastic Stay with Exceptional Staff (Mostly!) We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Our room was beautiful, spotless, and well-maintained, with fresh towels and bottled water provided daily. The housekeeping staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. One young housekeeper, in particular, was run off her feet but still went out of her way to provide extra biscuits, which our little grandson absolutely loved—especially the short chocolate ones! We even gave her a tip as a thank-you—she truly made us feel cared for. The front-of-house team was generally excellent. One receptionist in particular, who was Welsh-speaking, was wonderful—she helped us plan a lovely walk with our grandchildren and made us feel very welcome. The food was next level—absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Every meal was a treat, and we’ll definitely be coming back just for the cuisine. All the amenities were brilliant, well-maintained, and clean, making our stay even more enjoyable. Unfortunately, we did have a less positive experience with one receptionist. While I didn’t catch her name, she came across as quite rude and not very welcoming. It felt as if anything we asked was a chore for her. We hope this feedback can be helpful, as a little more warmth and customer service training would make the guest experience perfect. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and will absolutely return.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nice stay, but a few disappointing details We stayed at Penrhos Park for a few nights with breakfast included. Overall, the place is clean, well maintained, and the staff were friendly and polite. Rooms were tidy and towels were changed regularly (although on the last day, unfortunately, they weren’t replaced). We had access to the swimming pool and jacuzzi, which was one of the reasons we chose this place. The pool itself was fine, but the jacuzzi experience was disappointing. To use it, you have to insert coins (£1 for 9 minutes), which we knew and were prepared for. However, many people were sitting in the jacuzzi without it being switched on, often whole families with children, occupying the space while it wasn’t operating. There was clear information that the jacuzzi should only be used when it’s running, but this wasn’t enforced at all. No staff supervision, no reminders. It would have been enough for staff to occasionally check or inform guests at the pool entrance. Once we managed to use it briefly after paying, others immediately joined without asking, which was frustrating. Another letdown was breakfast on the last day. Earlier during our stay, we could choose proper coffee, which was fine. On the final morning, however, it was replaced with a thermos of instant coffee that was honestly undrinkable — we didn’t even finish it. It really lowered the overall impression, which is a shame. It’s hard to understand why such small things negatively affected an otherwise good place. With better organisation around the jacuzzi and consistent breakfast quality, the experience would be much better.

Excellent value for money and a very relaxing stay. The location is peaceful and quiet, with lovely views across the golf course. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. …
