We suddenly decided to go skiing with our family, and this place, close to the slopes, had just one room available, so we booked it straight away. First of all, the room was very clean. It was clean and seemed to be well-maintained. The location was also very convenient, with a view of the neighboring ski resort from the window. The food was Western-style, but with care, with soup, appetizers, and then freshly made hot food. It didn't feel like a pension. They even had a kids' plate for the kids, and homemade bread and croissants for breakfast, so they were very considerate. There were manga and picture books in the hallways, which gave it the pension feel. They now have two adorable golden retrievers, and there's even an open-air bath. It was such a wonderful pension that I don't want to tell anyone about it.

My first visit to Minakami was solely to see the golden retrievers Cosmo and Sheri! While there seem to be some harsh reviews, they do have a mascot dog, and the dining area has a homey atmosphere with a play area for children. Because it's in the middle of nature, the open-air bath was filled with stink bugs (yellow-green and brown) and even a giant weevil-like creature. 🙋 I was very satisfied with everything. 😎 Since we stayed overnight on Friday, there was only one other family with children, but I imagine the hallways might get noisy with more children. 🤔 There were strict warnings, such as keeping quiet after 10 p.m. 😎 Cosmo and Sheri were incredibly affectionate, kind, and well-behaved. 🥺 I could have brushed them if I wanted, but the owner was busy working, so I couldn't say no, and I regret not being able to help. There are lots of cute goods, so if I visit again I'd like to buy some glasses and other items! It's not always open, but I'll definitely come back 😎

Thank you for your hospitality and for allowing us to photograph and stay in the garden. I have a lot of thoughts about this, so I'll be honest about them. I was very surprised when a dog barked at me so loudly upon arrival. It also seemed that the staff hadn't communicated information about using the garden, and there was a miscommunication between us and the people who were maintaining it on site, which was unpleasant to witness. Furthermore, equipment such as stepladders, shovels, and garbage bags had been left untidy and were captured in the photos, which was very disappointing. I was also concerned about the dining area. The children's play area and the dining area were the same, and children would run right up to the tables where the food was set out. No matter how well-cleaned the space is, dust is inevitable in that environment. There were also toys like Plarail trains set up, and the motor noise was unsettling even while eating. To be honest, it felt like I was at a family restaurant. On the plus side, the garden itself was small, but had many beautiful flowers. I also think the price for private use was reasonable.
