Compared to a 5☆ hotel, the rooms are quite outdated, but when we had a problem, they solved it. The bed was comfortable and big, the view is good and the center of Funchal is close. What I didn't like at all was that you have to pay for parking, I think that a hotel of this size should provide parking for its guests. We were able to park in the casino's parking lot, of course it was for a fee, it was about 15€ from 8 in the evening to 10 in the morning, but this is a lot for several days... you are better off if you park in the small streets because you don't have to pay for parking there at night. The food was very monotonous, it was the same every morning, and at dinner I expected more from a 5☆ hotel. You have to pay for what you drink at dinner. Overall it was good but I wouldn't come back.

We stayed at this hotel and were absolutely delighted. The service was top-notch. The hotel itself is large and spacious, with a beautiful view of the ocean. It's located in the center of Funchal. The food is a whole other story. There's something to suit everyone's tastes. Every day there was something new and delicious. I highly recommend this place.

Just returned from new year there ,location fab ,reception staff need some training as very rude as I asked for an umbrella and she started shouting at me shocking , food amazing ,we did the NYE Galla it was perfect at 450eros pp food entertainment brill ,but at midnight we weren’t allowed to the roof top unless we payed an additional 150euros per couple , so we went to floor 5 on to balcony to find people standing in front of us who weren’t even residents of the hotel , now the rooms 4/5 stars they are not I would say 3 at most very dated and disappointing, we did hear that rooms higher up are nicer but they denied that , I never write reviews but felt people should know
