This is the worst place I have ever stayed at. Stayed for 5 nights recently. The room we had smelt so bad we had to buy a room spray to spray everyday. The water in the room is contaminated with what smells like sewage. The toilet water is brown and stinks of sewage, which then makes the whole room smell horrible. Even the water in the sink comes out discoloured, there is no point in even washing your hands there because the water smells of sewage. Worst of all, even the shower water smelt of sewage. On the 3rd day I developed all sorts of rashes and bumps on my body due to showering with sewage contaminated water. When I returned home, I had to soak myself in a bath with Dettol antiseptic a couple of times for the rashes to go away. Also, we had picked the place because we wanted to rest and spend our days at their pools, which looked great from the pictures. We could not do that because the pools are filthy and full of algae. They “clean” them only with nets but they do not treat the pools with the necessary chemicals. The water was very murky and disgusting. So murky that you could not see the floor of the pool even though it is shallow. We asked a couple of times for the pools to be cleaned, and all they do is just remove leaves with nets but the pools are still disgusting. They also don't clean the lounge chairs by the pools. The restaurant was also disappointing. Service is very slow. Even when is it fairly empty, they will take an hour or more to bring your food. The food itself is very underwhelming and not worth the prices. For the breakfast buffet, they give you an option to request eggs to your liking from the kitchen, but they don’t know how to make eggs. During our stay there, we requested fried eggs, sunny-side up eggs and omelettes, all came out burnt but raw and runny. This was an absolutely disgusting place. I could not wait to leave.

We absolutely loved Pestana Kruger Lodge. The rooms are clean, the views are spectacular seeing elephants, rhinos and buck from the deck at breakfast. From my kids: “We loved the food”.
