Very well located hotel. Old mansion renovated, everything modern. Rooms not very large, but satisfactory. Good shower and bed too. There are convenience stores, cafes and restaurants nearby, taxi rank. On the corner of La Rambla, Barcelona.

It absolutely doesn't deserve 4 stars, 3 at most. Throughout the entire stay, there was a strong sewer smell coming from the bathroom, and there was neither a window nor a fan. The result: a persistent, heavy odor. We reported the problem to reception and were told it was normal/had already been reported and there was nothing they could do. Beyond that, the most significant problems were: POOR cleanliness, both in the rooms (several oversights, including detergent left in the room, wastebaskets not changed, sheets on one bed not changed, and toilet paper not replaced when finished) and in the hotel in general. The bathrooms, next to the breakfast room, were always dirty (and quite dirty). I don't understand why they can't be cleaned; it becomes impossible to use them. Honestly, I was also very disappointed with the hotel service, which always seemed sketchy and approximate. On a positive note, the central yet private location was definitely a plus. I had high expectations but they were disappointed, especially considering the price. I wouldn't go back.

Very central and very pleasant hotel. The staff is very friendly, and parking is very close (for a fee). If you go down late for breakfast (1 hour after opening time), there's no ham left. For the price of breakfast, they could replenish it. €21
