Phi Hotel Ambra

I stayed alone for one night (room 219) due to a missed bus or train connection back to Milan. Very nice and helpful, at a reasonable price. An excellent solution for those needing a strategic base, located two minutes from the city center and a three-minute walk from the station. Of course, the low prices reflect the fact that the rooms aren't brand new, but that doesn't detract from the (absolutely) cleanliness or guaranteed comfort of sleep. If people these days want to pay €40-50 for a night and also expect room service with croissants straight from Paris and a red sea bream feeding you grapes, well, that's certainly not the hotel's problem. Excellent and plentiful breakfast included, and, I repeat, great attitude from the staff. I had a problem overnight and didn't know what to do (I missed the train from Pescara to Milan, ed.), and they even let me stay in the lobby with my laptop so I could work remotely the morning after my stay. These are small things that shouldn't be taken for granted, given that in many other facilities—on the contrary—the staff and reception aren't always so helpful and flexible with specific circumstances or guest needs. P.S. They also offered me coffee at the bar, which doesn't enrich or prevent any financial impoverishment, but it does amount to a gesture that confirms that the positive rating is well-deserved.

The rooms are old but clean, good locations (steps from the city centre), they serve a great breakfast.
