Phi Phi Harbour View Hotel

I strongly advise travelers to avoid Phi Phi Harbour View Hotel. The conditions we encountered were completely unacceptable, and the hotel’s response was even worse. The first room we were given was in such poor condition that we immediately contacted reception. The room did not resemble the photos at all: - Old, worn, outdated furniture - Unpleasant and persistent smell - Lack of proper cleaning - Mold visibly growing on the lampshade We were shown a second room — just as bad. Then a “suite” with a rooftop terrace, which was supposed to be the hotel’s best option. Unfortunately, it was no improvement. The suite had: - An extremely hard bed with no mattress topper - Flickering lights unless multiple lamps were on - Dirt and sand in several areas - No WiFi in the room - No outdoor furniture on the terrace despite being advertised - A defective and unhygienic jacuzzi - Loud, disruptive air conditioning - A flooded rooftop terrace - A strong moldy, musty smell - Mold on the lampshade — again Even though housekeeping had just been there, it was clearly only superficial. The mold smell returned within minutes. Staying five nights in these conditions was simply impossible. We spent one night only because we could not find another available hotel that evening. The next morning, we moved to a new hotel at our own expense — 25,000 THB that we should never have had to pay. What makes the situation even worse is the hotel’s refusal to offer any refund, even though the rooms clearly did not meet the standard shown in their photos or the price they charge. Instead, they hid behind their cancellation policy, ignoring the very real health and cleanliness issues. This hotel is absolutely not worth the money, the photos are misleading, and the conditions are far below acceptable standards. I cannot recommend Phi Phi Harbour View Hotel to anyone.

Location was great and staff was nice but the room was awful. We stayed in the room with the swim up pool. It smelled terrible like mold and the room would get very humid and condensation would build up on the floors if the AC wasn’t on full blast making it uncomfortable to sleep at night. Additionally, the beds were super uncomfortable and rock hard. I would not recommend this hotel unfortunately. Book another hotel room to be more comfortable!!

The hotel itself looks great from the outside, and the service at the front desk was fast, efficient, and truly exceptional. The room service team also did a great job and gave a good feeling throughout the stay. However, unfortunately the experience in the rooms was far from perfect. We arrived as a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children) and booked two rooms with a connecting door — but the maintenance of the rooms was very poor. The drain in the shower did not drain, the water came out salty, the shower was stuck with a screw and could not be adjusted, a desk curtain in the shower fell during the shower, and the rain head on the ceiling hardly flowed. In addition, different lighting between the rooms created a feeling of unevenness and lack of investment. The pool area was also disappointing - the fountains were not turned on and there was no use of the jacuzzi in the pool, which spoiled the bathing experience. The main advantage of the hotel is the location: very close to the port of Koupifi and on the other hand, directly accessible to the sea - which is definitely convenient. In summary, the human service was excellent, but the condition of the rooms and infrastructure negatively affected the overall experience.
