Piazza Hotel Nara

A functional and convenient hotel. The persimmon leaf sushi at the breakfast buffet is limited in quantity, so I recommend having breakfast early. Breakfast was 2,700 yen if ordered on the day.

If I know from the booking situation that a hotel is sparsely booked and I'm told at 1:30 pm that check-in is at 3 pm, I already have a pretty good idea of what's going on. The location near the train station and public transport is very good, but that's about it. We booked a Deluxe room, and I don't know where the 33 square meters went, because it was really cramped. The panoramic window made it cold, but on the second night, we only managed with a radiator that we had to borrow from reception. The breakfast is beyond description—truly meager.

I stayed here for a dinner event. Location: Conveniently connected to JR Nara Station, but personally I think hotels along the Kintetsu line are more convenient in Nara. Room: Twin room. It was one of the cheaper twin rooms, so there was a small sofa but it wasn't that spacious. It seemed to have everything you need considering its size. Bath: Shower only, no bathtub. The shower pressure was weak. There was a rain shower and hand shower, but they were both weak. There was a wall-mounted chair, but it was small and difficult to use. Shampoo and other products were bottled and provided. The toilet and bathroom were connected, making it difficult to use at the same time. The bathroom is glass-walled, which does block the view, and a screen could be installed, but sound leaks in, so it's fine for families but not ideal for strangers or newly dating couples. Amenities: Bath cotton balls, toothbrush, shower cap, body towel, razor. Free mineral water, and a set of green tea and coffee. Slippers (fairly thick, fluffy, disposable ones) Breakfast: I think it was ¥2,750 per person. Limited selection. They said last orders were at 9:30, so I arrived at 8:30, but so many items were out of stock that I had to keep telling the staff to replenish them. Considering the quality and variety, it wasn't worth the money. The croissants were so hard I couldn't chew them, and although they had somen noodles, they were so small I couldn't taste them. For dessert, they had diced, bite-sized cakes, but they were out of stock, and when they brought them, they were frozen. The food tastes better at hotels like this. ( ´△｀) If they're going to charge that much, they should improve the quality. Personally, it's a disappointment. The staff was friendly but inattentive. I don't think I'll be back.
