This is a great place to stay for so many reasons. It couldn't be in a better location. Maria Alm is an easy hours drive from Salzburg airport and Hotel Pinzgauer is located right next to the Natrunbahn lift - less than a 30 second walk. There is ample free parking out front and the supermarket, shops, bars and restaurants are all a short distance away on foot. I stayed in one of the single balcony rooms, the accomodation is basic but comfortable and has everything you would need for a ski trip. The shower is great, hot water plentiful and pressure good. The views from the room/balcony are amazing. The hotel has a lift and staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The highlight however, over the fantastic location, was the food. The breakfast selection was superb both in variety and quality. Cooked breakfast came in the form of eggs, sausage and bacon served from a hot plate. Cold options included muesli, cold cuts, fruit, cereal, bread, pastries fruit juice, coffee both filter and barista style, as well as every accompaniment you would expect, jam, Nutella etc. I ate dinner there as well and this was equally as good, with a fantastic salad buffet and really good starters, mains and desserts, along with a brilliant bar service all topped off with fantastic waitressing. The sauna for anyone who may be wondering is Austrian/German style with etiquette to match. Leave the swimshorts in your room... Much like the rest of the hotel, it is spotlessly clean and really decent. Perfect to relax in after a day's skiing. Other guests included families with children, groups and couples, all of who seemed to be enjoying their time at Hotel Pinzgauer. Thank you for a brilliant stay, I'll be sure to consider you again in the future. I've already recommended you to friends..
