Do not get the breakfast buffet. It is a scam. They should just be upfront and pay their people instead of trying to extract tips for a buffet. It just slows everything down. My husband thought it was $15 a person. The front desk person said it was maybe $20 a person but she didn’t seem sure. She said it was less if you got it when you checked it. In the end we had a king size room with this buffet for around $240 including tax. It’s a buffet so we thought that it would go quickly. But they had this big charade of pretending it was a restaurant experience by making you wait for a table when there were plenty of tables available. And we had to wait for a while. Then the hostess tried to explain the menu to us, which was extremely confusing. It’s a three dollar up charge if you want eggs to order or pancakes to order or French toast to order or an omelette to order. She said the toast in the middle of the menu was free. The buffet was mid. The eggs had crust on them. The potatoes were dry. The bacon was extremely greasy. A waitress came and took our drink order. It took so long to get there that my husband went up got a piture of water and gave us water. Waitress was extremely pleasant and kind, but was in a bad situation. We then realized that we had to ask for toast because it wasn’t available at the buffet. We ordered toast and it came out when we were finished eating , as did our drinks. At the end we were presented with a check for $45! A table next to us asked about it and we did as well. She said it was a zero check whatever that is, and that our vouchers were all we needed to pay the check as it had already been paid. Obviously, they wanted us to tip for a buffet on a $45 meal. That’s just sketchy. Number one it’s a buffet so we should be able to get our own toast and drinks which would’ve gone much faster. Number two if you’re going to pretend you’re getting restaurant service then make it fast. Number three, pay people what they’re worth and not expect to have some scam of a tip situation. Location is fantastic and the room was great. Just don’t get the buffet because it will make you angry and the food is not good.

Awesome staff, clean and very updated rooms - almost felt new. Just be prepared to strategically pick your parking: if you want close to the tower with rooms there is very little lighting at night. It didn't bother me, but I wouldn't want the females in my life to park there at night. If you park by the lobby, bring your walking shoes. The lobby is a long walk to the room elevators and depending where your room is, could be an even longer walk. Restaurant/Bar looked good. I did use the lounge which was a typical Marriott Platinum perk- it was nice as well.

Great staff and service in a reasonably maintained, updated hotel. Great restaurant food with many inspired recipes.
