We stayed here for 3 nights for our Jet2 city break. The location itself is pretty good if you don't mind a walk, it's approximately 25-30 minutes into the Old Town where all the bars, restaurants, shops etc are located and it's pretty much a straight walk, so you can't get lost. 2 weeks prior to our holiday we got an email from Jet2 advising that it was a self service hotel, upon arrival to the hotel the door was locked and nobody in the reception (there never is) so I was a bit bemused at first, our taxi driver said he had never known the hotel to be like this, usually the door is open. On the door there is a note, written in both Polish and English, which advises to check in you need to ring the 24/7 reception number, well this number I rang 2 times and nobody ever answers?.... Fortunately for us, because we were advised by Jet2 that to get breakfast we would have to go to Hotel Xerion (located 5 mins walk away) because the Plaza Boutique restaurant has work taking place as they must be updating it, so I thought to myself why don't I ring Xerion to say we need to check in. The number for Xerion was picked up right away and we got sent a text message with a code to use (this code worked for the main door, second door and our room) so that was simple enough, once in the room was really nice, can't fault that, though it can be quite noisy as you do hear the tram every few minutes, didn't really bother us as it's a bit of white noise. The concept of being able to come and go as you please via a code entry in itself is great, but if you ever need to ask anything or assistance for something, there is nobody around and again the number they say to ring is NOT THE NUMBER YOU NEED TO RING (at least nobody ever answered when I tried countless times) so please if and when you arrive at this hotel, RING HOTEL XERION and explain you need to check in at Plaza Boutique. I have given 2 stars for the service as nobody is ever around and it's not great if you need assistance.
