Nice hotel, very intimate.

Nice hotel with a good location. The beach is a 5-10 minute walk away, and there are several good restaurants nearby. We booked two rooms including breakfast and were satisfied. The breakfast was good.

A beautiful, well-maintained, small-scale, family-run hotel. The hotel is beautifully landscaped with flowers and plants, and the pool is well-maintained and has lovely clear water. We received a friendly welcome at reception. The woman with the glasses, in particular, was very friendly and helpful. When we returned from an outing or something else, she asked questions and even helped us when one of our group had trouble charging their phone. Parking is limited if you're arriving with a rental car. Cleaning is provided daily, beds are changed every three days, and the rooms are very clean. We also received new towels daily. The only thing we noticed was that the shower head (rain shower) was full of jets of water, which was very disappointing. The housekeeping staff are small; we suspect they don't notice this because everything else is spotlessly clean. The rooms are non-smoking. Another notable, and somewhat strange, feature was the extra 6 euros per day you have to pay to use the air conditioning in your room. Especially if you've already paid a considerable amount for the hotel, I would expect this to be included. Apparently, this is normal in Greece. The adjacent bar is really nice, trendy, and cozy (it belongs to the hotel). The only downside is that if you want to sleep early, you'll experience a lot of noise from this bar. There are regular live performances and other events. There's also a lot of smoking in this bar, which is, of course, no longer allowed in the Netherlands. So it's not smoke-free, which could be an advantage or a disadvantage. It just depends on who you ask. 🫣 The food in the hotel restaurant is a bit disappointing. The quality is really good, but if you're used to a "continental" breakfast (buffet), you'll be disappointed. We also noticed that a lot of oil is used in the fried eggs. Breakfast is offered with a menu and it's brought to the table, which can be refreshing (perhaps different in high season). However, the waitress doesn't speak much English; we managed to get by just fine with Google Translate. The breakfast is also very focused on British guests, which means: Sausages, bacon, beans in tomato sauce, and hash browns. A sandwich with chocolate sprinkles, etc., isn't included. If you were to ask, quite a lot would be possible. The evening menu is simply wow! What delicious and high-quality food! We ate elsewhere all week, but this truly exceeded all our expectations. Compliments! We would definitely return, but perhaps during peak season to see what it's like then. Absolutely nothing to complain about the staff! Such friendly, warm people, not those pushy people who stand at every restaurant or bar trying to lure you in.
