From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family. Claudia and Lucrecia made every morning feel magical. Their homemade breakfasts and lunches were not only delicious but prepared with love and joy that you could taste in every bite. Their warm smiles and wonderful service set the tone for each day — cheerful, relaxed, and full of heart. At night, the culinary magic continued thanks to Valbona, the extraordinary chef whose dishes left us speechless. Every meal was a masterpiece — fresh, homemade, and prepared with the best local ingredients. We tried everything on the menu and never wanted to dine anywhere else. Ana, her perfect partner in service, was equally exceptional — always gracious, attentive, and ensuring every dish arrived at just the right moment. Together, they made every dinner an unforgettable experience. The front desk team — Alice, Giada, and Azzurra — made our stay effortless and unforgettable. They anticipated our every need, offered wonderful recommendations, and were always patient, kind, and smiling. Their attentiveness and warmth made us feel completely at home from start to finish. We were also lucky to meet Eva, the owner’s granddaughter, who was so sweet and attentive, always checking in to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. And another Eva, who takes care of the rooms, deserves special mention — the rooms were spotless, fresh, and beautifully maintained. Her dedication ensures that every guest enjoys true comfort and cleanliness. Podere Castellare is truly heaven on earth — a place where nature, comfort, and human warmth blend in perfect harmony. The beauty of the Tuscan countryside is undeniable, but it’s the incredible team that makes this place truly unforgettable. You simply have to come and experience the best of Tuscany — Podere Castellare is waiting to steal your heart.

I loved Podere Castellare from the moment I got there, and the three days I spent there will be unforgettable. We stayed for two nights in the Salvia room: rustic but well-kept, with a splendid terrace overlooking the hills. The only downsides were the less-than-comfortable mattress and, on the first night, some noise from people chatting at length in the living room just across the room. These were small details, but they didn't detract from the beauty of the experience. The staff was always extremely kind and attentive, even to my dietary needs: they provided gluten-free options both in the restaurant and at breakfast. We had booked the Peter Menu, which included a lunch of crostini, a platter of cured meats and cheeses, and a protein salad. Everything was excellent and also available in a gluten-free version. All accompanied, of course, by a Peter in Florence gin and tonic, which is produced right here. After lunch, we toured the distillery, learning about the various production stages and the botanicals used. We then enjoyed a tasting of three Peter in Florence gins, followed by a gin and tonic. A unique experience, made even more special by Eva's openness and passion in explaining it to us. We also greatly appreciated the welcome we received from our big dog, who was able to follow us everywhere, even to the distillery. In the evening, we shared a wonderful moment with two people we met during the tasting: a gin and tonic aperitif on the panoramic terrace at sunset (truly spectacular!) and a delicious dinner featuring local products. As if that weren't enough, the weekend also featured "Negroni Night," an event with live music and special cocktails: an unexpected surprise that made the evening even more memorable. In short, Podere Castellare is an authentic and well-kept place, immersed in nature and capable of offering unique experiences linked to conviviality, good food, and the excellence of their gin. Despite a few small flaws in the room, I would recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for a relaxing, convivial stay full of surprises.

Really enjoyed our three nights here, a delightful little escape in the Tuscan countryside. Cosy, quiet and peaceful, great views, lovely pool. The staff are all so friendly, and Alice (who, apart from being possibly the most alluring manager of any hotel in Tuscany) sets a great vibe in the hotel and makes you feel like a guest in her home while running it in a relaxed but professional way.
