Pousada Rancho Jarinu

The guesthouse is quite average; breakfast consists of dry cake, cold sausage, and most of the food is tasteless. Its proximity to the center is one of its positive points.

We stayed for a weekend, and when we arrived on Saturday afternoon we were greeted by a very grumpy woman, who barely even offered a "good afternoon." The least one expects from a place offering this service is politeness and good communication to explain how the place works; they don't even need to hand out smiles. Otherwise, the place was clean, the room comfortable, the shower good, the breakfast simple and tasty, and the pool nice. Location: near the main avenue, perhaps the noise at night could be bothersome, especially if you stay in a room with a balcony facing the street.

Generally, reviewers fall into two groups: those who are overly enthusiastic or those who are extremely demanding. Therefore, I made a point of writing this review with a "normal" and realistic perspective to help those who are researching. Our stay at Pousada Jarinu was excellent and I highly recommend it. Points worth highlighting: Breakfast: Unlike some comments I read, I found the breakfast to be very complete and varied. We stayed several days and I was able to eat different items every day. Everything was very well served. Service: The staff is top-notch, very friendly and helpful. Sometimes they aren't exactly behind the reception desk because of the strong sun shining through the window (Bonito is very hot!), but they are always just a few steps away and ready to help. 24-hour convenience: They have an open refrigerator where you can help yourself to drinks at any time and just let them know afterwards. This trust system makes life much easier. Location: Perfect. You are just 200 meters from everything in the center. You can do a lot on foot without effort. Air Conditioning: The air conditioning is excellent and was our "savior" in the heat. For those who prefer, there is also a fan in the room. Leisure and Nature: The pool is a great size to relax after sightseeing. The highlight was being in the water watching the dozens of parrots and birds that land in the trees and in the pool to drink water and rest. A delightful experience. Room and Bathroom: The rooms are a very good size. The shower is electric and works very well to regulate the temperature (from cold to very hot). The water pressure is not very high, but I understand that we are spoiled by 20-story buildings; for the standard of the region, it is perfectly adequate. Security: Like the rest of Bonito, the inn is super safe. The city has that old-fashioned peace, where people even leave their car unlocked with the keys in the ignition without worry. Barbecue area: Although we didn't use it, there's a large area for barbecuing if you want. Verdict: We had a great stay, were treated very well, and will definitely return on our next trip to the city!
