I'll start with the service. The reception staff were very friendly and approachable. Service was good both up and down the sea. Some of the ladies there could be a bit friendlier and more attentive to the guests. There was one very nice lady in the service area (unfortunately, I've forgotten her name) who was very friendly and empathetic towards us. The rooms. I had room 135, and the view was fantastic. It looked directly out onto the water and the lighthouse. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a good size. The rubber seals in the shower needed replacing, and a new shower head was also needed. There was some limescale buildup on the fixtures. The porthole window, which allows you to see into the bedroom, was an interesting feature. If you don't want to see into the room, you can slide the side mirrors across it. Unfortunately, some guests aren't careful with the furnishings. Moving the bedside table slightly damaged the wall. This could be remedied with spacers. A small minibar and a safe are provided. The large wardrobe was also great; it held a lot of clothes. A coffee machine (capsules) and tea bags are available. Glasses and cups were provided. A large TV was also available. A small table with an armchair was also provided. What I really appreciated were the blackout curtains, which are rare these days. The balcony is large with a table and two chairs. Wellness: A large, beautiful swimming pool and a small pool with a slide for children. The loungers are very attractive and comfortable. I had a back massage, which was excellently performed by a masseuse. There are two saunas. A separate relaxation room and a completely open relaxation area. From there, you can go outside, and loungers are also available. I had half-board and was very satisfied with the food. It was plentiful and beautifully presented. Salmon was served every day at breakfast. Rabbit was also on the menu (not often found in hotels), but it wasn't to my taste, although that's a matter of personal preference. A small selection of gluten-free and lactose-free options was available, as well as something for vegans. Gluten-free rolls were brought to me every morning, but you should ask for them as they weren't on the buffet. The restaurant was very appealing with a view of Lake Rheinsberg and the lighthouse. It would have been nicer if the tables had been set with small placemats or napkins. That would have added more style and would be more fitting for a 4-star hotel. Presentation matters. My conclusion: Overall, I enjoyed my stay very much and would definitely stay there again. There are really only a few things that could be easily done. Finally, something I really appreciated: You get a €5 voucher if you choose not to have your room cleaned every day. Sustainability. I opted out of daily room cleaning for three days. There's a large library. There's also a pool table and a TV. A fitness room and a bar are located in the basement. Free lemon water is available in the lobby.

We stayed here from February 27th to March 1st, 2026, hoping to relax a bit. Unfortunately, we didn't pay attention when booking and selected a standard room, which isn't recommended as you can end up with the same bad luck we did and get a room facing the delivery ramp and employee parking lot. After a sleepless first night, we complained and asked for a different room, but were quickly dismissed with the excuse that there were no rooms available and that we were out of luck. They suggested we try again later, and that was that. Around 1 p.m., we wanted to have a beer at the bar, but a staff member came and chased us away, saying that nothing was available until 2 p.m. So, it's best to bring your own drinks, as there's no restaurant and nowhere to buy them. The service staff at breakfast, which was very good, were very friendly and accommodating. Nevertheless, we won't be returning because there's only one pool and one sauna, which is very limited for such a large hotel. The rooms have also seen better days.

Beautifully situated, ideal for hiking. Very friendly staff. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Wonderful breakfast. The only thing we missed was the option to order à la carte dinner.
