Where to start? This place was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. You are definitely in the red light district and hear screaming and sirens from outside the hotel. There is no ac but they keep the heat to the max in there. You can request a key to open the window and small fan but that still doesn’t do much. Our bathroom and room had mold all over the place and a stain of what looked like vomit on the curtain. The whole place had a stench. The staff is incredibly kind so that’s something to note. Breakfast was pretty bad though, not a lot of options and the options weren’t great. A 7-11 breakfast would have been way better.

Aside from the small room size, everything else was great. The hot water was very strong, there were two convenience stores nearby, and the area wasn't as crowded as before. The breakfast was good. It was also more convenient to get to Shin-Okubo Station than Shinjuku Station; it was less crowded, and the JR Yamanote Line was also easier to reach.

The welcome was very, very pleasant. I'm going to recommend it to my friends. I've stayed in more "upscale" hotels that were less good. You can weigh your luggage. It has everything you need except perhaps a second pillow, but I didn't ask, so that's my fault. The room is small, but it's a cabin hotel, and the price reflects that, so there's nothing to complain about.
