A very nice hotel in a good location, large rooms with good, easily adjustable air conditioning. The breakfast buffet is a bit small but good. The shackushka was nowhere near as good as at the Marriott in Century City. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I had a truly fabulous stay with my wife at Protea Hotel Franschhoek! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming especially from Evelina. The hotel is beautifully kept, perfectly located, and has such a relaxed yet refined atmosphere—it really captures the charm of Franschhoek. What made our stay extra special (and honestly quite funny!) was discovering that the General Manager and I share the exact same name and surname. That’s something you almost never come across, and it added a personal, memorable touch to an already wonderful experience. We had a good laugh about it! A big thank you to the entire team for going above and beyond. We felt valued, comfortable, and well taken care of throughout our stay. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. A real hidden gem in Franschhoek and we will return from Johannesburg Regards Nico and Madelein Joubert
