Protur Badia Park Aparthotel

-Clean complex with excellent food, but significant shortcomings in service and facilities- We stayed at the Aparthotel Protur Badur in Cala Millor at the end of October 2025. The complex impresses at first glance with its remarkable cleanliness; every corner, and especially the restrooms, were meticulously clean. This is a huge plus. Despite this review, we will definitely consider returning. The main restaurant buffet was very good and varied during our stay. Despite the occasional tough piece of meat, it was never boring, and the selection was excellent. The biggest criticisms are: • Information chaos & service: The hotel website/guest information via QR code is very confusing and contains errors. A modern app is lacking. The staff (all very friendly with one exception!) were often poorly informed, especially regarding the children's program and the Protur Club. We were often rudely referred to the inadequate website. This urgently needs improvement. • Questionable "Aparthotel" concept: The "aparthotel" concept feels like it consists of nothing more than a microwave and a refrigerator. It lacks the charm and functionality of a real apartment. • Design and shortcomings: The electrical outlets are extremely poorly placed (hardly any by the couch or bed). The air conditioning display in our room was broken (permanently lit), and the toilet leaked. Almost every other table in the outdoor area and at the bar was wobbly. • Arbitrary rules in the restaurant: An absolute no-go and a major drawback was the prohibition against pushing tables together indoors for groups of 5 or more to eat together, even though it was obvious that groups of four were sitting at the large tables. The hotel management urgently needs to rethink its group-friendliness! Other issues: • Wellness/Activities: The gym (8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.) and sauna are not accessible without a reservation; you need a key and/or have to make a reservation. This makes it unusable for spontaneous visits. • Bathroom: Apparently no working fan, which keeps the towels damp. • Activities: The included activities (tennis, basketball, etc.) are great, and the Protur Club activities were well-attended. However, the hotel's own activities were unfortunately almost deserted. • Specialty Restaurants: Cardamom (Asian/Indian) was disappointing; the food was no better than the buffet, there was only outdoor seating, and cats roamed freely. The early departure breakfast was also very disappointing (stale toast, no fruit). Conclusion: A solid hotel with fantastic cleanliness and a very good main buffet, but it loses points due to its poor communication, annoying design choices (tables, electrical outlets), and the restrictions on spontaneity (gym, sauna, no-table seating).

Any complaints? Not a chance! Just the thing for parents with children! We felt comfortable and will be back!

This was our first time at this hotel, and the last week of the autumn holidays before the hotel closes for the winter was the perfect time to visit as it wasn't crowded. It's incredibly family-friendly, with a fantastic kids' club, beautifully maintained grounds, very friendly staff, and delicious, varied food. The hotel offers many activities (mini-golf, a small petting zoo, a trampoline, bicycle rentals, a 40-minute kids' disco every evening, German-speaking staff, and much more). We'll definitely be back. It's in a fantastic central location, just a 5-minute walk from the beach. Highly recommended.
